Chatting with Hedwig
A board opens on your conversation with Hedwig, a full agent with tools. What it sees, what to say, and what it will not do.
Hedwig is the agent you talk to. It works across email, calendar, tasks, documents and the board itself.
Where you talk to it
Open a board and Hedwig fills the window: the conversation in the middle, the board’s frames in the rack on its left. Frames you ask about rise into the thread one under another, live and workable; dock one beside the thread to keep it in view. The rack’s Frames shows them all in the conversation, and its + makes a new one. Open the stage to work the board itself; Back to chat returns. In the mail views Hedwig sits in a column beside your mail.

How it answers
In plain sentences that lead with the answer and keep every name, time and place. A change it prepares is ready, not done: it says what still needs your Apply. When it could not check something, it says so instead of guessing. Settings → Mail & AI sets what it calls you, how long its replies run, and whether it says what it is doing while it works.
Attachments
PDFs, Word files, text and images — up to six at a time and about 3 MB per message. Images are seen, not just named: paste a screenshot of a schedule and ask for it on your calendar. PNG, JPEG, GIF and WebP go straight through; other image formats are converted or refused when you attach them, never mid-conversation. Attachments stay with the conversation until you remove their chip, which is what lets a follow-up refer back to them.
What “this” means
An open email is the focus: “summarise this”, “reply to it”, “schedule this” resolve to the reader you have open. A selection beats a single focus. A frame selected as a set means whatever matches its filter at that moment. In the desktop app a standing page can be “this page”.

Frames are addressed by name. New frames land in free space. Every draft stages; archive, star, read and tag apply at once.
What it will not do
- Send mail. Drafts go to the Outbox; there is no other path out.
- Invent your data: counts come from real lookups, names replace IDs, times are always am/pm.
- Discuss platform internals — secrets, infrastructure, prompts, other people’s data — however the question is framed.
Reminders
“Remind me to call the bank at 4pm.” Reminders ring in the bell and, with Settings → Notifications on, as system notifications while Hedwig is open.
It learns
Retagged senders, deleted suggestions, the frames you keep: Hedwig picks up how you actually work and stops suggesting what you never take.
